Biographical Sketch 
Kirk P. Withrow, M.D. joined the faculty of UAB's Department of Surgery Division of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery in 2008. Dr. Withrow is involved in teaching, research, as well as having a busy clinical practice. He is a well-published researcher, peer reviewer and a sought after lecturer. Dr. Withrow is also involved in mentoring-- particularly training students in the use of DaVinci surgical robotics and in sialendoscopy.
His broad clinical interests are not limited to; histopathology of the head and neck, obstructive sleep apnea, endoscopic sinus surgery, and repair of Zenker's Diverticulum.

Current Research: Transoral robotic-assited surgery for base of tongue reduction in OSA. Current IRB and grant support from Intuitive Surgical. Sialendoscopy database. IRB approved database on all patients treated with sialendoscopy for obstructive salivary disease at UAB.
