Biographical Sketch 
Dr. William R. Carroll has been a faculty member of the UAB Division of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery since 1996. He holds the rank of Professor and serves as the Director of the Head and Neck Oncology Program, Director of the Head and Neck Oncology Fellowship Training Program among his University duties.
Dr. Carroll's research focuses on: 1.disparities in head and neck oncology 2.tobacco cessation and 3.outcomes for H&N cancer patients. He currently has a grant to research tobacco use in young African American men. He is also widely published; authoring or co-authoring over 135 manuscript articles and 14 book chapters. He participates in the editorial review for 5 journals.
