Biographical Sketch 
David McCollum finished medical school in 2002 at the University of Mississippi. He then completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas in 2005. Subsequently he was fortunate to spend four years in the southern African country of Swaziland with the Baylor International Pediatrics AIDS Initiative(www.bipai.org). He then completed an infectious diseases fellowship at UAB. Currently his job at UAB is divided between serving as a hospitalist, Tinsley Harrison ward attending, Medical Officer of the Day, and supervising tuberculosis physician for regions 5 and 6 of Alabama (http://www.adph.org/TB/).
