Biographical Sketch 
Dr. Davis serves as Medical Director for the UAB Division of Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine at Children's of Alabama. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics and the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). He also serves as Medical Director for Children's of Alabama Early Intervention Program. Dr. Davis is certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine (PRM) and PM&R. After attending medical school at the University of Alabama School of Medicine, Dr. Davis completed his residency training in the Department of PM&R at UAB. He received his PRM fellowship training at The Children's Hospital of Alabama in UAB's Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine. Dr. Davis is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Southern Medical Association, the Medical Association of the State of Alabama, the Alabama Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the Jefferson County Medical Society. He is involved with a number of community organizations including the Alabama Head Injury Foundation and Magic Moments. Dr. Davis's special interests include management of traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, spasticity, neuroplasticity, and assistive technology . His primary research interests are in neuroplasticity, constraint-induced movement therapy and technology applications for individuals with physical and cognitive impairments.
