EAB Clinic Skills is for students who wish to learn important clinical skills required for clinical clerkships while simultaneously serving the Birmingham community. Students will work in the clinic seeing patients with a physician, be trained in how to draw labs in clinic, and write SOAP notes on the patients they see in clinic. Student Learning Objectives: By the end of the course, students will be able to perform a thorough history and physical, create an assessment and plan for their patients, and write SOAP notes. Also, by working with the under-served in downtown Birmingham, students will gain a better understanding of other non-medial issues their patients may face.
