Prerequisites Successful completion of the core internal medicine, peds and surgery clerkships and any clerkship which covers the content material of the requested elective or acting internship course (e.g. Pediatric Clerkship must be successfully completed prior to taking a Pediatric Elective or AI).

Course Description This course is designed to familiarize the student with the approach to the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the chest in children. The student will participate in the total activities of the pulmonary division and its consultation services, including daily ward rounds, Chest and Cystic Fibrosis Clinics three times each week, and use of the pulmonary function laboratory. The student will be evaluated on a subjective basis based upon the attending physician's interview with the student and observations of the student's performance.

Requirements Daily participation in inpatient/outpatient care.
