Biographical Sketch 
Dr. Tessler earned his medical degree at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. After completing an internship at McGill University's Jewish General Hospital, he began his residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of Toronto before returning to McGill University to complete his residency training. Dr. Tessler served computed tomography, ultrasound, and pediatric radiology fellowships at the University of California at Los Angeles School of Medicine, where he subsequently joined the faculty of the Department of Radiological Sciences.

His major research interests include assessing the importance of active participation by radiologists in sonography, evaluating the significance of incidentally discovered pathology with computed tomography and sonography, and furthering the application of computers in medical education.
