Prerequisites
Successful completion of neurology clerkship. Completion of internal medicine clerkship is strongly recommended but not required.
Specific Clerkship Prerequisites: Neurology, Family Medicine, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Surgery, Medicine
Visiting Students
Accepts students from US LCME accredited schools.
Accepts students from osteopathic schools.
Course Description
This is an elective rotation concentrating on the diagnosis and management of stroke and other neurological diseases requiring critical care management. Students are actively involved in patient care under the supervision of resident and attending physicians at the University Hospital on the Vascular and Critical Care Neurology Service. Opportunities exist for oupatient experience and observation in the cath lab.

Requirements
Neurology Clerkship is required to take this course. For Non-LCME students, sponsorship is required by a faculty member in the Department of Neurology before enrollment.
