SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THE FIRST TWO YEARS OF MEDICAL SCHOOL AND USMLE STEP I EXAM.

Course Description
This a third-year clinical clerkship in Psychiatry for four weeks. During this rotation students will come to know about various psychiatric diagnosis and psychopathology. Students will be taught how to interview and present a case and come to a reasonable diagnosis. By the end of the rotation students will be able to formulate a treatment plan and understand the various modalities of the treatment including medications and psychotherapies. Students will also learn to appreciate how interconnected Psychiatry and medical aspects are to each other.

Requirements
Daily teaching rounds, didactics, various seminars involving case conferences and topic presentations.
Evaluation
Clinical Component - 65%. NBME Shelf Exam - 35%.
