Course Description
This course provides an immersive, faculty-supervised experience in pediatric cardiology with a focused emphasis on the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (PCICU). Students will participate in bedside rounds, observe cardiac imaging, review hemodynamic data, and engage in multidisciplinary discussions involving cardiology, cardiac surgery, critical care, and nursing. All activities are engaged learning and students will be directly supervised by pediatric cardiology and PCICU faculty throughout the week.

Requirements
• Attend all scheduled clinical activities (minimum 20 hours)
• Prepare one brief case presentation
• Participate actively in rounds and discussions
• Complete daily reflection questions
• Demonstrate professionalism and engagement
Evaluation
Students will be evaluated through:
• Direct observation during rounds
• Performance of a focused cardiac exam
• Quality of case presentation
• Participation in hemodynamic and imaging discussions
• Completion of daily reflections
Assessment is Pass/Fail.
