Course Description
Students will have 2-3 didactic lectures, observe polysomnography interpretation, observe a polysomnogram hook-up, shadow adult and pediatric sleep physicians in clinic, learn about sleep home studies and sleep telemedicine, and cognitive behavioral therapy for sleep. Learning Objectives: Understand the multiple practice pathways available for sleep medicine; develop an understanding of sleep disorders and sleep staging.
Where To Report
VA Hospital, 7th floor, Room 7108. Dr. Daley will provide a schedule several days before the elective.
Requirements
Attend didactic sessions and clinic. There will be one evening to observe sleep study hook-up (8:00 -9:30pm).
Evaluation
Pass/Fail; attendance and discussion of learning objectives at the end of the elective.
