Biographical Sketch 
Dr. Garima Agarwal joined the Division of Otolaryngology at UAB in 2012. She received her medical degree from King George Medical College in Lucknow, India. Thereafter, she completed her residency training in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Al India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India, where she continued to work in head and neck surgery. Dr. Agarwal then moved to the US where she did a year of training in General Surgery at North Shore Long Island Jewish Health System followed by residency training in Otolaryngology-Head Neck Surgery at University of Texas, Houston. She is certified both by the American Board of Otolaryngology and Indian board of Otolaryngology. Dr. Agarwal is currently an Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. She is also the Medical Student Director in the Division of Otolaryngology and serves on the board of admission committee for UAB School of Medicine. She has focused her career on delivery of the highest quality clinical care, and education of medical students and residents. She has published a number of peer reviewed scientific manuscripts and has co-authored several book chapters. Dr. Agarwal performs a wide range of surgeries in Otolaryngology and head and neck surgery and her career focus is thyroid and parathyroid surgeries and surgeon performed ultrasound.
