Biographical Sketch 
Dr. Martinez attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. He, then, travelled to Birmingham, AL, where he became a resident at UAB Hospital, a teaching hospital of the UAB School of Medicine. After residency, he continued his training at UAB as a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellow. Dr. Martinez joined the faculty of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurobiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in July, 2016 as an Assistant Professor, Director of Consultation-Liaison and Emergency Psychiatry at Children's Hospital of Alabama, Neuroscience Clinical Course Co-director for second year medical students and the Medical Director of UAB Psychiatry Medical Student Clinic.
