Biographical Sketch
Dr. Kevin Sublett is a Board Certified Interventional Cardiologist and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He is also certified in Cardiac Computed Tomography (CT) angiography. Dr. Sublett graduated from Oklahoma University College of Medicine in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and completed his internship at the University of Oklahoma, Tulsa Medical College in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He completed his interventional cardiology fellowship at the University of Kentucky under the tutorage of Drs. Anthony DeMeria and Steven Nissen…two past presidents of the American College of Cardiology. While there, Dr. Sublett trained in clinical cardiology, echocardiography, diagnostic angiography, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, pacemaker and defibrillator therapy. His research interests include echocardiography and valvular heart disease, left ventricular mechanics, intravascular ultrasound, and supraventricular arrhythmias. Dr. Sublett has been in private practice since 1989 and has practiced in Alexander City since 1999. He specializes in cardiac catheterization, interventional cardiac and peripheral therapies, pacemaker and implantable defibrillator devices, as well as nuclear cardiology. Dr. Sublett’s passion is to help educate and care for his patients. His appreciation for medicine started years ago as he grew up in and around the medical profession. He continues to educate his staff and community regarding the importance and awareness of cardiac care. Dr. Sublett currently is involved in developing community awareness of the importance of having Automatic External Defibrillators (AED) installed in local businesses and all community or public locations. He is also a trained speaker for GlaxoSmith Kline representing the Coreg CR division. Dr. Sublett currently splits his time between Lake Martin and Mt. Laurel, Alabama. When he is not working he enjoys spending time with his family, boating, traveling and playing his guitar.
