Research/Clinical Interest
Title
Pulmonary mycotic infections, Antifungal Susceptibility, Diagnosis of Invasive Fungal Infections.
Description
Clinical Microbiology: Due to the nature of clinical microbiology, the areas of Dr. Moser's investigation and publication are diverse. Most studies have involved the assessment of methods for providing more rapid or accurate diagnostic test results to physicians. Many have involved pathology residents and serve an important educational role by teaching research methods and exposing them to presenting at national scientific meetings. The areas covered include mycology, bacteriology, mycobacteriology, and antimicrobial susceptibility testing. Current active research addresses the early diagnosis of invasive fungal infections in hematopoetic stem cell transplant recipients using real-time PCR; molecular epidemiology of Streptococcus mutans.
