Biographical Sketch 
Dr. Melanie Morris joined UAB Department of Surgery’s Gastrointestinal Surgery Division in 2010. She is an Assistant Professor. Dr. Morris has already co-authored two textbook on her specialty of the lower GI tract: colon, small bowel and rectal surgery. She also has begun serving as a Grand Rounds and meeting lecturer. She is board certified, and also serves the VA Medical Center here in Birmingham, AL.
