Prerequisites SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THE FIRST TWO YEARS OF MEDICAL SCHOOL AND USMLE STEP I EXAM.

No LCME students accepted.
No osteopathic students accepted.
Course Description The Ob/Gyn clerkship exposes students to all facets of the health care of women. This includes concerns that are associated with menstruation, conception, pathology of the female reproductive organs, and pregnancy. Students will also be introduced to broader concepts of primary care for women with emphasis on preventive care and periodic screening. This is accomplished by direct patient care in clinics, hospital wards, operating rooms and delivery suites. Student lectures/conferences supplement the clinical education.
Where To Report Information will be given in advance to the student.
Requirements Daily attendance in either Ob/Gyn clinic, women's OR, or L&D. Morning report Monday - Friday for all students; Morning Report Saturday and Sunday for students on-call only. Attendance at all scheduled lectures and conferences.
Evaluation Clinical Component - 70%. NBME Shelf Exam - 30%.
