Course Description This is the introduction to Clinical Neurology required during the third year of medical school. It is a 4 week course divided into 2 week "mini-blocks" on the General Neurology and Stroke Services. Students have inpatient care responsibilities at the University Hospital or VA Medical Center supervised by resident physicians and attendings. Students have outpatient clinic experiences at The Kirklin Clinic, VA Medical Center and Cooper Green Hospital. A series of didactic lectures and attendance at several departmental and resident conferences are required during the rotation. Students take 4 in-house call nights during the clerkship.

Requirements Must pass NBME subject exam in order to pass the course. Students are required to attend departmental lectures including those of the residents. Each student will take 4 in-house call nights.
Evaluation Clinical Component - 70%. NBME Shelf Exam - 30%.
