SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THE FIRST TWO YEARS OF MEDICAL SCHOOL AND USMLE STEP 1 EXAM.

Course Description
Exposure to clinical surgery in an outpatient and inpatient fashion. The student will follow a surgical attending(s) on rounds, to operative experience, and post-op evaluation on surgical patients. The student is expected to acquire the basic knowledge of general surgery principles and enhance them with exposure to complex surgical case scenarios.

Requirements
Work hours are variable. On-call schedule is variable. No more than 1/4 overall.
Evaluation
Clinical Component - 65%. NBME Shelf Exam - 35%.
