Course Description
This one-week capstone synthesizes key lessons from Developing the Medical Learner. Students consolidate personal and academic growth, reaffirm professional identity, and translate reflection into actionable strategies for success. The course integrates foundational biomedical science with applied teaching, reflection, and forward planning. Format: In-person workshops, peer teaching, and individual consultations

Requirements
Attendance and participation in all scheduled sessions
Completion of the following graded components:
Growth Narrative or Reflection Portfolio (500–800 words) synthesizing learning and identity development
Basic Science Integration Presentation (5–7 min + =3 slides + reflection paragraph)
Basic Science Teaching Session (20 min interactive peer session + brief teaching reflection)
Academic and Professional Development Plan (APDP) (1–2 pages, finalized with a learning specialist)

Evaluation
Attendance and Participation: Active engagement in all workshops, discussions, and peer teaching sessions.
Completion of Assignments: Submission of all required components

Professionalism: Consistent demonstration of respect, collaboration, and accountability throughout the course.
Evaluation Method:
Faculty and learning specialists will review participation and submitted materials using a completion-based rubric. Feedback will focus on the clarity of reflection, evidence of integration across learning experiences, and thoughtful application of feedback to future goals.
