Course Description Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery exposes students to all major areas of our specialty including otology, rhinology, laryngology, aesthetic surgery, tumor surgery, laser surgery, and endoscopic evaluation of the upper aerodigestive tract. The purpose of this clinical course is to provide the medical student with direct patient care responsibility for evaluating clinical problems related to the head and neck. Students will participate in clinical evaluation of patients as well as in the surgical care. This course is specifically designed for third year medical students interested in otolaryngology. Students are generally assigned to one day on each of the following services: Head and Neck, Otology, General Otolaryngology and Pediatric.

Requirements Successful complete of Surgery Clerkship.
Specific Clerkship Prerequisites: Surgery

Students will be expected to participate in the Tuesday Morning Conferences. Student will spend one day on each of our services: Head & Neck (H&N), Otology (OTO), General Otolaryngology (GEN), and Pediatric Otolaryngology (PED).
Evaluation Student will meet with Medical Student Clerkship Director, Dr. Andrew Fuson to evaluate their performance as well as help our director to better the course.
