Course Description This course provides students an integrated experience in outpatient Geriatrics and Family Medicine with a focus on mastery of the 4Ms of Age-Friendly Care (Medication, Mobility, Mentation, and What Matters). Students will co-learn in interprofessional teams during clinical half-days at Central North Alabama Health Services, The Goldgon at Athens Assisted Living Facility, and other specified geriatric care facilities. Students will also participate in faculty-facilitated Interprofessional Case Studies one half-day per week, and will be expected to complete online modules in Geriatrics and Age-Friendly care on Articulate360 (with approximately one half-day per week set aside to complete this course work). Remaining half days will be spent in the Family Medicine clinic, where students will have the opportunity to further practice principles of Age-Friendly care.

Requirements 1. Attend scheduled clinical half days
2. Attend Weekly Interprofessional Case Studies
3. Complete each of the 8 online modules (documentation will be sent to course director upon course completion)
4. Complete and submit final course reflection to the course director
Evaluation 1. Attendance during scheduled clinics
2. Attendance and participation in weekly Interprofessional Case Studies
3. Verification of completion of the 8 online modules in Geriatrics/Age-Friendly care
4. Feedback from site-based preceptors
5. Review of final course reflection (with feedback provided to student)
