Course Description
PrepMD provides students a structured process to explore and develop learning and personal skills needed to successfully complete pre-clinical coursework. The course involves self-reflection and guided exploration, an individualized development plan, and assessment of progress. In addition to knowledge building in content areas, topics may include learning strategies, test taking skills, strategies for mental and physical wellness, and professional identity formation. The course also incorporates weekly Learning Labs, structured reflection, and assigned readings and media to support mastery learning, resilience, and professional identity alongside pre-clinical content review.

Requirements
Attend all in-person meetings and course sessions. Complete asynchronous learning modules by stated deadlines. Complete bi-weekly assessments of Fundamentals course content. Participate in weekly learning labs and engage in professional development activities including clinical shadowing, structured reflections, and workshops. Develop and update an individual learning success plan.
Evaluation
Bi-weekly assessments of Fundamentals course content. Attendance at mandatory meetings and course sessions. Learning lab participation, submission of reflection portfolio, completion of individual learning success plan, and active engagement in professional development sessions.
