Course Description
This course will introduce students to clinical immunology. Fundamental concepts in immunology will be review and described in a clinical context by discussing immune-related diseases and the underlying physiologic and immune mechanisms. Case-based discussions will be used to discuss topics that will aid in preparation for Step 1. Each class session will involve the presentation of multiple cases that will be discussed along with an explanation of the underlying immune mechanism so that high-yield immunologic concepts can be reviewed in a clinical context. Students will be asked to participate in class discussions: answer questions during class and share applicable information.
