Course Description
This is the introduction to Clinical Neurology Clerkship required during the third year of medical school. It consists of an eight-week longitudinal experience shared with Psychiatry. Three half-days each week are dedicated to Neurology, along with additional time for lectures on Friday and call during weekends (one 'long' weekend per student). This includes exposure to inpatient Neurology at DCH Regional Medical Center and Bryce Hospital; and outpatient Neurology at University Medical Center and Neurology Consultants of Tuscaloosa. Problem-based learning sessions are held each Monday afternoon.
