Course Description
The course will introduce the field of Narrative Medicine. There are parallels between understanding how writers choose their words and how patients speak to impart emotions. It is important for us as physicians to be able to recognize this as well as how our own backgrounds will impact what we take away from patient encounters. The activities will examine a variety of creative works and mediums with opportunity for students to produce their own creative works.
