Course Description The simulation lab will be used to teach indications for and the procedure for various medical procedures. The planned procedures may include all or some of the following: POCUS, central line, paracentesis, femoral lines, thoracentesis, chest tube insertion, and lumbar puncture. The class will include didactics, procedure practice with "content expert" supervision and guidance and feedback.

Requirements Students will attend all sessions. By the end of the course, they will be able to adequately perform these procedures:
1. Central line
2. Femoral line
3. Paracentesis
4. Thoracentesis
5. Chest tube insertion
6. Lumbar puncture
7. POCUS
Students will understand the indications for and the risks of these procedures.
Evaluation Students will be assessed on the ability to name indications for and risks of each procedure. They will practice the procedure until they can adequately perform the procedure using a checklist and guidance form the "content expert". They will use sterile technique. They will participate in the feedback sessions.
