Course Description
This elective is designed for students interested in additional experience in 08/GYN and presents the student with the opportunity to participate in 08/GYN clinic, Labor and Delivery and surgery. Learning Objective: Under supervision, the student will independently see patients and assist/perform vaginal and instrumental deliveries, assist at cesarean section and gynecologic surgery including laparoscopic hysterectomy, urethropexy pocedures, vaginal reconstruction, etc.

Requirements
Students are expected to be present for and participate directly in rounds, inpatient work-ups, and assigned clinics each day M-F and some on-call/weekends are optional. Outside reading is strongly encouraged. The student will be expected to prepare a short presentation at the end of their rotation to attending faculty. The student will present M-F and some on=call/weekends are optional.
Evaluation
Pass/Fail; The student will be evaluated on a subjective basis based upon the attending physician's interview with the student and observations of the student's performance.
