MUST BE A FOURTH YEAR MEDICAL STUDENT AND HAVE COMPLETED ALL REQUIRED CLERKSHIPS.

Course Description
This course is designed to prepare students for their intern year of surgical training. It will be divided among the following activities: 1) Morning lectures chosen to be applicable across all medical disciplines; 2) Procedural training including advanced airway management, peripheral IV placement, intraosseous line placement, basic ultrasound use, and suturing; 3) Simulated case studies centering around common cross-over emergencies and general surgical care; and 4) Optional BLS and ACLS training.

Requirements
Each student is required to attend lectures, participate in simulated case studies and central venous line training.
Evaluation
Pass/Fail based on:
- Attendance (at least 70% of lecture hours)
