Course Description The student will participate exposure in advanced exposure to the emergency medicine, point of care ultrasound, toxicology, and simulation. The student will participate in regular toxicology didactic interactive lectures, take part in toxicology call, participate in point of care ultrasound didactic education, image review sessions, and image acquisition. The student will participate in interprofessional simulation sessions and will be responsible for creation of a novel emergency medicine based simulation case. Finally, the student will also be exposed to patient care in the emergency department, where he will serve as a member of the health care team, focusing on patient assessment and clinical management. Learning Objectives: a.) Improved knowledge in the utility and clinical implications of point of care ultrasound; b.) Increased understanding of the diagnosis and management of patients with toxicologic exposures; c.) Improved understanding of medical simulation, and medical education delivery; and d.) Improved ability to perform advanced patient care to critically ill patients in the emergency department.

Requirements -6 Hours of POCUS image review and lecture, Acquisition of 15 POCUS images
-12 Hours of Toxicology Lecture; 3 days of Toxicology call and patient care duties
-4 Hours of lnterprofessional immersive simulation
-Creation of a novel emergency medicine based simulation case
-Successful Completion of 15 University Emergency Department Shifts
Evaluation Pass/Fail. Written performance evaluations of clinical performance. Successful attendance in didactic toxicology, ultrasound, and simulation curriculum. Successful completion of ultrasound quota (15). Successful creation of emergency medicine based simulation case.
