Prerequisites
For the MS2 course, successful completion of the first year of medical school curriculum. For the MS3 and MS4 students, successful completion of the OB/GYN and Pediatrics Clerkships.

Course Description
Students will participate in 4 clinics focused on Pediatric and Adolescent gynecology. Student will participate in the evaluation and management of vulvovaginitis menstrual disorders. contraception counseling and STI prevention and testing in pediatric and adolescent patients. The student will have one-on-one time with GYN faculty members to discuss their reading assignments. Student Learning Objectives: 1.) Provide the differential diagnosis of vulvovaginitis in pediatric and adolescent patients; 2.) Explain the pathophyslology of common menstrual disorders In adolescents; 3.) Describe treatment options for the management of menstrual disorders and dysmenorrhea; 4.) Describe the contraceptive efficacy of the various contraceptive agents available to adolescents; 5.) Identify which STls adolescents are most at risk for and recommendations for STI screening.

Requirements
Completion of assigned reading materials, participation in patient evaluation and discussion, attendance at scheduled clinics, participation in OR when appropriate.
