Course Description
The course will take learners through basic communication and education 'theory modules. Then students will work with Medical Student Services and Undergraduate Medical Education to create videos. The student team will shoot, produce, and edit educational videos for the purpose of educating other students on academics, processes, and/or skill based elements common to Medical Students and/or curriculum. Student Learning Objectives (what the student will get out of the course or be able to do at the end of the rotation): . Students will strengthen their communication skills by learning the importance of delivering messages in a clear and professional manner. . Students will get to enhance their on camera communication skills . Students will collaborate with educators to add to the ongoing enrichment of the UASOM student experience through video messaging and teaching . Students will learn basic filming techniques . Students will learn basic video editing techniques (what to leave in and what to take out) . Students will learn the importance of communication through video production
