Course Description
This is the second half semester to the year-long course 07-300 for students going on, or returning from, a leave of absence of any type for any campus.During the Learning Communities course, students will learn skills for personal and professional development. Through group sessions, students will discuss topics covering professionalism, health & wellness, service learning, cultural competencies, medical ethics, Interprofessional team practice, careers in medicine, and group developmental theory. A focus will on intentional community formation, peer and longitudinal mentoring, and teaching through relationships. Our goal is to create healthy people who will be effective physician leaders.
