Course Description
During the Learning Communities course, students will learn skills for personal and professional development. Through group sessions, students will discuss topics covering professionalism, health & wellness, service learning, cultural competencies, medical ethics, Interprofessional team practice, careers in medicine, and group developmental theory. A focus will on intentional community formation, peer and longitudinal mentoring, and teaching through relationships. Our goal is to create healthy people who will be effective physician leaders.
