Course Description
Learning Objectives: To learn about and compare disadvantaged populations, and the public health obstacles faced by an underserved population. Clinical work includes duties in the Family Medicine Center, home visits, working with palliative care nurses, and volunteering in the Community Free Clinic. The student will have self-study time as well as scheduled meetings with the course director.

Requirements
Clinical duties consist of working the FMC 2-3 days a week and working within the community 2-3 days a week. Community work can include home visits, palliative care, and free clinic. This work involves patients in underserved populations.
