Course Description
What is it like to manage a large hospital? Students will have an opportunity to spend a week working with the CEO of Baptist South Medical Center in Montgomery. Students will learn what day-to-day tasks are like managing a large hospital. They will learn about the medical services provided, finances, patient populations, insurance/billing, fund raising,politics, and human resources. Student Learning Objectives: Students will gain a holistic view on hospital organization and administration. They will have the opportunity to work with the CEO and learn about how a large hospital is managed.
