Course Description Students will have an opportunity to spend a week working with the Alabama Department of Public Health. Students will work with health care providers in various patient populations. They will understand what it takes to keep a state population healthy and safe. Students will also have an opportunity to work with ADPH executives and administrators to learn what day-to­ day tasks are like managing state health policies, notifications, awareness and health statistics. Student Learning Objectives: Students will have a very unique opportunity to gain insight into the crucial role that the ADPH plays in overall delivery of health care, safety, and protection of our citizens.
