Course Description
Medical student will make rounds with inpatient child neurology service for two weeks: one week on outpatient child neurology clinics, and one week on child neurology EMU (Epilepsy Monitoring Unit). This will give well rounded exposure of child neurology to the medical student as well as opportunity for medical student to interact with many child neurology faculty. Learning Objectives: 1) How to perform a neurologic exam in children; 2) how to approach/develop differential diagnosis of pediatric neurologic disorders; 3) how to perform lumbar puncture in children; 4)obtain exposure to EEG's and seizure semiology.

Requirements
Attend Neuro-Radiology Conference (Mondays 3:30). Attend Epilepsy Surgery Conference (Wednesdays 12Noon). Attened Fellow's Conference (Mondays 12Noon). Attend MDA Clinic (1st Monday of the month). Read Fenichel's Clinical Pediatric Neurology text book. Student must have reflex hammer, tuning fork (128Hz), pin light, and ophthalmoscope.
Evaluation
Pass/Fail. Observed neurologic exam.
