Course Description
This course is a Medicine Acting Internship (MI). The student will assume the role of an acting intern and will be assigned patients in limited numbers for whom the student will be responsible. Responsibilities are, but not limited to, admitting patients, taking H & P, writing notes, dictiating discharge summaries and writing orders in the chart. The student may be expected to take night call and will be required to attend and participate in morning report. The student will be evaluated on a subjective basis based upon the attending physician's interview with the student and observation of the student's performance.
