Course Description In the OB/GYN longitudinal community clerkship, students develop a long-term relationship with preceptors who facilitate clinical learning experiences throughout the year. The course will provide a foundation of the knowledge and skills to care for the health needs of women including menstruation, conception, pathology of the female reproductive organs and pregnancy through direct patient care in clinics, hospital wards, operating rooms and delivery suites. Broader concepts of primary care for women with emphasis on preventive care and periodic screening will also be covered. Students' longitudinal relationships with obstetric and gynecologic patients reinforces clinical learning experiences.

Requirements To include but not limited to
- Attendance at all scheduled activities (clinics, rounds, lectures, etc.)
- Completion of patient writeups as assigned
- Completion of online cases as assigned
- Case presentations as assigned
- Completion of required patient encounters (patient log)
Evaluation Clinical component- 70%. NBME Shelf Exam- 30%.
