Course Description
In the psychiatry longitudinal community clerkship, students develop a long-term relationship with preceptors who facilitate clinical learning experiences throughout the year. Students experience a longitudinal relationship with psychiatric patient population and gain insight into the impact of psychiatric illness on patients and families by exposure to outpatient, inpatient, adult and child clinics, and through consultation liaison at DCH, Bryce Hospital and the Veterans Administration Hospital. Students have an opportunity to present cases and formulate diagnostic impressions and treatment plans on a regular basis with teaching faculty and the Clerkship Director.

Requirements
To include but not limited to
- Attendance at all scheduled activities (clinics, rounds, lectures, etc.)
- Completion of patient writeups as assigned
- Completion of online cases as assigned
- Case presentations as assigned
- Completion of required patient encounters (patient log)
Evaluation
Clinical Component - 65%. NBME Shelf Exam - 35%.
