Course Description
The student will learn the essentials of anesthesiology with special emphasis on those aspects of the specialty which pertain to basic and advanced life support, integrating basic science knowledge with clinical applications. The student will gain an understanding of local anesthetic pharmacology and the use of those agents in spinal, epidural and plexus anesthesia. Students will be on-call 1-2 nights during the week. They will report to the Anesthesiologist on-call each morning at 6:30am and attend all operations during the day.
Where To Report
Students should report at 6:30am to the Anesthesiologist on-call at DCH in the Main OR each day.
Requirements
Students will be on-call 1-2 nights during the week and they will attend all surgeries during the day.
