Course Description
Advanced Obstetrics & Gynecology is designed for any student who plans to pursue Ob/Gyn as a career. This elective presents the student with opportunity to participate with Dr. Marion Reed in the Ob/Gyn Clinic, Labor and Delivery and Surgery, both at DCH Regional Medical Center and Northport Medical Center. Under supervision, the student will independently see private patients of Dr. Reed in the office, perform vaginal and instrumental deliveries, assist at cesarean section and gynecologic surgery including laparoscopic hysterectomy, urethropexy procedures, vaginal reconstruction, etc.

Requirements
The student is expected to be present each day from 7 AM to 6 PM and take call with Dr. Marion Reed at night and weekends from home. Selected reading will also be required.
