Course Description
The Hematology/Oncology module will present the medical students with core content related to Hematology/Oncology anatomy and microscopic anatomy (lymph nodes, lymphoid tissue, bone marrow, spleen and thymus), normal function, pathologic changes, neoplastic conditions (lymphomas, leukemias, etc.), diagnostic imaging studies, surgical anatomy/biopsy of tissues, surgical considerations, diagnosis, clinical staging/prognosis, pharamacotherapeutics, nutritional support in neoplastic conditions, ethical considerations, prevention of disease, epidemiology and social and societal impact of diseases.
