Course Description Students will spend one week on the Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine service at Children's of Alabama. Students will make rounds with the attending physician and/or resident on the inpatient service to gain insight into acquired neurological injuries that may impact a patient's life. The student will also participate in outpatient clinics which may include General Rehabilitation Clinic, Spina Bifida Clinic, Movement Disorder/Spasticity Clinic, Limb Deficiency Clinic, and Muscular Dystrophy Association Clinic. Students may spend one half day at a community based program observing children with special health care needs participating in therapeutic activities.

Students are to contact the course contact at 205-638-9790 at least one week prior to start date.
Requirements Participation in Rounds and Outpatient clinics.

Evaluation Pass / Fail
Attendance, completion of assigned reading and participation in patient interactions and group discussions. There is also a required individual written project which will be discussed in the group.
