Course Description
The goal of this course is to acquaint the student with the fundamentals of (1) wound healing and closure, (2) primary care of burns, (3) management of facial fractures and trauma, (4) management of cancers of the skin, (5) care of various congenital anomalies, and (6) aesthetic surgery. The student will observe the surgeon in their office practice and in surgery at the hospital. The one-to-one relationship will allow discussions of the various techniques and treatment modalities.

Evaluation
The evaluation will be based upon the attending physician's observations of the student's performance, thought process and interest level. Students will be judged on knowledge, attitude, ability, level of documentation, communication skills, level of progression, attendance, and timeliness."
