The student will be evaluated on a subjective basis based upon the attending physician's interview with the student and observations of the student's performance.
Where To Report Students will be e-mailed with information about where and when to report.
Requirements The student will be expected to be in clinic during regular clinic hours (Monday through Friday in most instances, never on weekends). Patient load will be on an individual basis. Documentation may or may not be required depending on your preceptor. Required reading to be determined by preceptor.
Evaluation The student will be evaluated by the attending physician based on observations of the student's performance, thought process, and interest level. They will be judged on knowledge, attitude, ability, level of documentation, communication skills, level of progressions , attendance, and timeliness. The rotation is pass or fail. The preceptor should give verbal and/or written feedback to the student approximately half way through the course and the student should feel free to ask for feedback more frequently.
