Course Description
The goal of this clinical course is to provide exposure to the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery. This will include evaluation and treatment of maxillofacial trauma, facial reconstruction, facial esthetics, craniofacial surgery, temporomandibular joint surgery, and oral surgery. Clinical experience will involve both inpatient and outpatient management. Written appraisal will be given by the faculty as to basic knowledge, skill, and ability to relate to individuals. Students will round with a faculty members on a regular basis and their activities are directly supervised in the operating room.
