Course Description
This clinical course is offered to students in cardiopulmonary disease. The student will be instructed in the diagnosis and surgical management of patients with a full range of thoracic disease. The student will be integrated into the housestaff on the service and will become an active participant in the care of patients at both the University Hospital and the Veterans Administration Hospital. The student will be expected to participate in all conferences. Evaluation at the completion of the course will be by the faculty and housestaff. No examination is required. The students will be responsible to the attending and resident staff for daily presentations of their patients and direct intra-operative supervision.
