Course Description The objectives of this course are to expose the student to broad principles of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Prior to starting the rotation, after discussion with the course director, the student will be assigned to a specific service (Pediatric, Breast Reconstructive, General Adult, or Aesthetic). There will be considerable exposure to congenital abnormalities, skin cancer, reconstructive problems, or aesthetic surgery. The format will have the student as a full member of the surgical team. There will be active, supervised participation in all phases of patient care. The student will be required to present at plastic surgery grand rounds, a 15 minute presentation chosen by the student's attending. Students should leave the rotation with an appreciation of the challenges of reconstructive plastic surgical problems related to trauma, congenital abnormalities, malignancy, and aesthetics. The study guide for this rotation will be available at http://www.psenetwork.org.
Where To Report Will be emailed instructions.
